Hermione has a fairly large potions lab and Herbology space set up in her research space at the IRIS Foundation. The main door that enters into the research space leads one into the Herbology space first, where there are tons of plants and unique species being grown.

This is where Hermione grows many of her own ingredients. There is a little pond in one back corner, where the frogs, newts and the fireflies have habitats. And rows of different kinds of flowers, herbs, and roots are grown. There is one area that is warded -- to give off a sense of dread when one approaches it -- where the Mandrakes are grown. The ward is set up as a warning, since the Mandrakes need a specialized hand for their care, and are known to create damage when pulled without proper protection.

From the Herbology room, there is a door that leads to the potion area. It is quite large, with a big copper cauldron in the middle of the room. On each of the walls, there are rows and rows on prepared ingredients. Along the back corner, there is a warded cabinet, that requires a unique magical unlocking spell to open, and is protected with a jinx to cast a 'THIEF' rune onto any who try to break into the cabinet. It is in the cabinet where the more dangerous and rare potion ingredients are stored. The stuff that one has to go through great effort to collect, such as the unicorns hair, dragon liver, dragon's claw to name a few.

There are a number of different potions that Hermione can successfully brew in a day. She even has a schedule of which potions to brew when ... especially handy for the potions that are more successful when they are brewed at nighttime, or during a full moon. And there are potions that always are on her to-make list, such as Pepperup Potion, or Essence of Dittany, or Invigoration Draught.

There are also many days when Hermione is researching her own potions, like calculating the differences between a Star Grass Salve and Murtlap Essence, to create a healing potion for major cuts and injuries. The research is absolutely lovely... taking the time to figure out which ingredients work, and the right amount of each ingredient to add, and to take notes after notes after notes, until she completes a better product.

For every potion create, 20% of the completed product is donated back to the IRIS Foundation, with a few 'Rate this Product' forms to be filled out by whomever needs the potions that are donated. After all... it will only help Hermiome improve her work to get feedback when others are using it.

Several months ago, the former boarded-up office of the Ministry of Muggle Relations had been a disaster area. There used to be piles and piles of 'lost' paperwork that had previously filled the office. There used to be piles and piles of 'useless' Muggle inventions that had been laying around the office. And the office used to look like it could easily feature as a cautionary tale to any Hoarders.

Everything changed once Hermione Jean Granger had agreed to take the position of Minister of Muggle Relations. In several short months she had tackled the task of filing everything into a proper manner. Not only did she get several unresolved Muggle Relations bills approved, but Hermione also wrote dozens of her own bills that were also finalized and ratified.

Slowly, things were changing at the Ministry, all due to bills that were coming from the Ministry of Muggle Relations office. There was the bill that encouraged technology lessons for young witches and wizards. There was the bill that encouraged pre-Wizarding School courses that would help a Muggle or Half-Born wizard to learn about Pureblood traditions, and those that would help a Pureblood wizard to learn about Muggle customs. And Hermione Jean Granger's signature was first signed on several other bills that came from other departments that encouraged a better understanding across the Wizarding World.

It was no wonder that an "Intention to Run" form appeared on her desk, with her name nominated into the upcoming election for Minister of Magic, signed by several other wizards in the Ministry. Hermione was studying the form for a long time. Her fingers trailing through the fur of CJ, as she considered the opportunity before her.

Walking back to her desk, Hermione signed her name on the "Intent to Run" papers. And with a flick of her wrist, the papers flew down the hallways to verify that she would allow her name to stand. It would be a tough year ahead of her, to finish the projects she wanted to accomplish, and run a proper campaign as Minister.

Hermione smiled. CJ purred by her face. She was ready for the challenge. All of them.
